The expedition held a formal buffet, raffle and auction on Saturday 10th February. Taking place at the Victory Services Club near Marble Arch, this was a great chance for the expedition cadets and staff to meet all supporters of the expedition. The event was open to all those who had or wished to help us in one way or another; be they family, friends, sponsors or anyone interested in supporting the cadets for this incredible venture.
During the night an auction took place providing another chance to raise money. Lots included a sailing trip, an aerobatic flying experience, a private capsule for two on the London Eye, and also a signed limited-edition Red Arrows print.
The night was a great success, raising over £3,000 for the expedition. The 150 guests were also treated to live music and traditional Ghanaian drumming and dancing.
