In my 5 years in cadets I’ve taken every chance I could to try new things. I have now reached the dizzy heights of Flight Sergeant and recently transferred to 398 (Staines & Egham) Squadron from my old squadron (870) in Edinburgh. I have completed Bronze Duke of Edinburgh and met the man himself. I have been on three summer camps (Northolt, Sealand and Macrahannish), two leadership camps and plenty of adventure training weekends. I have tried my hand at Langlauf skiing in Germany and visited Ghana in the summer of 2006 on IACE.
I have had the privilege to play in the ATC Concert Band alongside RAF musicians and recently joined 398’s marching band on its first public performance. I have represented my old region (Scotland and Northern Ireland) for cross-country, athletics, hockey and netball and helped to coach the wing’s junior teams for all four of these sports.
I can’t wait to go back to Ghana: it was such a great place to be with amazingly friendly people... I also look forward to the physical challenges of the expedition! I am currently studying music at Royal Holloway University and hope to join the Royal Marines Band one day.
