I have been a member of the Air Training Corps since the age of 13. I joined 398 (Staines & Egham) Squadron as a cadet in 1999 and reached the rank of Cadet Warrant Officer. As a cadet I took part in flying, adventurous training, sports and shooting. Some of my most memorable moments in the cadets were going to Frimley Park Leadership Course, attending the ISCRM (Inter Service Cadet Rifle Meeting) at Bisley for four years running as shooter and achieving two Cadet 100 Badges. I have also represented the Wing, Region and Corps in shooting.

In 2005, after serving a short term as a Civilian Instructor, I became an Adult Sergeant with 398 Sqn. I am currently the Sqn Shooting Officer and have taken a team to Bisley with every shooter achieving a Cadet 100 Badge. I was also a part of the Wing Leadership Training Team. Within my ATC career I have completed many courses including the Weapon Instructor and Coaching courses, the Obstacle Course Instructor course and Range Management qualification.

But by far the best experiences of my ATC career were when I was a part of the Volcano Eagle expedition to Ecuador and the Steppes Eagle expedition to Mongolia. All aspects of the expedition were great experiences from the community projects to the majestic landscapes and amazing people we met.

In my spare time I am a 3rd year student at Queen Mary University in London studying Aerospace Engineering. I enjoy any sport or physical activity/challenge I can find - the harder the better - especially trekking and mountain climbing. I have climbed in Europe, America, South America and Japan.

I am looking forward to Jubilee Eagle not just as an opportunity to see another amazing part of the world, but also as a chance to meet other challenges and new experiences and meet people from different cultures.
