I have been a member of the ATC for nearly 5 years, I attend 2019 (Sidmouth) Squadron in Devon & Somerset Wing.
So far I have enjoyed every activity that I have been involved in and I look forward to doing much much more.
I have reached the rank of Sergeant which means that I have taken on more of a leadership role within my squadron, teaching and guiding younger cadets through their career in the ATC.
I have completed my Gliding Scholarship with blue wings and I am hoping to upgrade to silver, fingers crossed.
Outside of cadets I attend college where I am studying a business course after which I will gain a diploma.
I also have two jobs, one of which is working in a kitchen; I enjoy cooking so I hope maybe to go into the catering industry. You never know, I may become the next Jamie Oliver...
I am excited about this opportunity to go to Ghana; it is something that I have never done before. It is important to me to help communities in less fortunate situations than us. I will surely learn a great deal from this experience.
